Children's Catechesis Hour

Children’s Catechesis Hour

During the school year, we offer a Children’s Catechesis Hour on the first, second, and third Sundays of each month.

This time helps children learn the big story of the Bible in an engaging and age-appropriate way. They also explore what it means to participate in the liturgy through simple instruction and practice.

Youth

Our youth group gathers monthly for fellowship and regularly throughout the year for Bible study, catechism, and formation events.

Students also participate in diocesan youth retreats and other opportunities for spiritual growth and community life.

Children in Worship

At Holy Cross, we value age-integrated worship, believing that children have as much to offer and receive in worship as adults.

We aim for our services to be family-friendly, participatory, and hospitable to our youngest worshippers and their parents.

For most of the year, we offer Children’s Chapel for ages 3–5 during the sermon. Children enjoy an age-appropriate lesson and activity connected to the liturgy, then return to the service at the Peace to receive Holy Communion with their families.

We welcome the joyful noise and presence of a growing number of children in our congregation!

Nursery

We provide a staffed nursery during both the Sunday worship service and catechesis hour for our youngest children.
